With thanks to a grant from the Simon Gibson Charitable Trust, we are delighted to be able to let you know that the Bridge Lunch Club is back. Originally a regular diary date at our Gainsborough Street site, and then recently trialled as Cozy Cafe, we are now able to host these in the newly refurbished Sudbury Arts Centre, run by the Bridge, which is housed in the former St Peter’s church on Market Hill, right in the heart of Sudbury.
Lunch Club will be held fortnightly on Thursdays. This initiative seeks to bring together individuals who currently receive meal deliveries from The Bridge, alongside others who may be experiencing loneliness, providing them with the opportunity to share a freshly made meal and social experience in a welcoming and safe place. The venue is fully accessible with DDA compliant toilets and state of the art café facilities. Thanks to a heating upgrade, it is warm in the winter, but in the summer it maintains a very comfortable cool temperature, with its ancient thick walls providing natural air conditioning.
Meals can be pre-ordered from our amazing catering team based in our kitchens at Byford Road, and delivered to Lunch Club which takes place between 12.30pm and 2pm.
If you or a family member would like to know more about Lunch Club or our Meal Delivery Service, please get in touch with us for a chat.

About the Simon Gibson Charitable Trust
Simon Gibson, who farmed near Newmarket, established the Trust in 1975 to provide grants for good causes in South Wales, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. The Trust provides grants to registered charities, with a particular focus on supporting young people, the elderly, heritage, and the natural environment. The Bridge is grateful to the Trustees who awarded a grant of £6000 to make this initiative possible.
